Feeling Random

Just some rants from an Otaku point of view.

What is the thing that makes you want to watch an anime?
-The story(plot)?
-The character design?
-Cause its the talk of the town/country/world?
-Cause you're just bored and any anime will do

For me, i would look at the character design and the plot.
Ok, here is where the rant starts.

Let say you're watching an anime like... Clannad.
Obviously not everyone likes Nagisa but the story ended with the protagonist choosing her. I really did wanted to stop watching Clannad solely for that reason. Lucky they included a Tomoyo arc which kept me going. Oh ya, Tomoyo is my favourite character in Clannad :3

Another one would be Toradora. Sorry for those Taiga fans, but i'm not very much a fan of Taiga. Ami and Kushieda is much better IMO. Takasu you damned lolicon. ):<

There are also many other 'romance' anime with similar situation. So it makes me think what is the thing that kept me, or in fact, people to watch these anime? Is it cause you watched halfway and think that since its half already, why not finish it.

//--------------Begin Figurine rant---------------//

I know i'm seriously being poisoned by figurines. ): The withdrawal symptoms are damn bad since more and more nice looking figurine are out into the market. The disgusting exchange rate of Japan yen. 1 SGD = 60.X JPY is one of the reason why i needed to stop buying figurines or i'll be broke.

I'll be praying hard that economic crisis will be over so the exchange rate will be better.
